Toraon1000 Up is a 2009 American animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios, directed by Pete Docter, and written by Bob Peterson and Docter. The plot centers on Carl Fredricksen, an elderly widower who travels to South America with youngster Russell in order to fulfill a promise that he made to his late wife. In the jungle, they befriend a talking dog as well as an exotic bird and encounter Carl's childhood idol, who has sinister plans to capture the bird. The film features the voices of Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, Jordan Nagai, and Peterson.
