Definition of continents
A continent is a massive,continous expanse of land.
Technically the largest island is Greenland. any island bigger like Australia should be considered a continent
But pollittically and culturally it feels wrong to leave nearby island nations as Fiji. New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. thats why geologically Australia is a continent and geopollitically Australia is a island part of a continent called "Australia and New Zealand" or simply "Oceania".
If a man-made channel like the Panama Canal or the Suez Canal SHOULDNT be considered continent-splitting. thats why we got The Americas as a continent and North and South America as subcontinents. Also thats why my Eurafrasia supposition was correct. so blame the Ancient Greeks by divided Afro-Eurasia (or Eurafrasia) in 3 wich are Europe. Asia and Africa
