Depending on your device, this could take multiple hours

1.	Disconnect from your internet
2.	Press Windows key + R
3.	Type: msconfig
4.	Click on Boot
5.	Select safe boot, make sure it's set to minimal
6.	Press apply
7.	Click restart when promoted
8.	After you log back in, press Windows key + R
9.	Type: cleanmgr
10.	Select Recycle Bin and Temporary Files
11.	Press OK
12.	Once complete, press Windows key + R
13.	Type: mrt
14.	Press enter
15.	When asked if you want the malware removal program to make changes to your device, click yes

From here, you have 3 options

1.	Quick scan
2.	Full scan
3.	Custom scan

A quick scan will look in places where malware is most likely to be found A full scan looks for malware in every single file on you computer A custom scan looks through a folder of your choice

Once the scan is complete and any malware it's detected has been removed:

1.	Press Windows key + R
2.	Type: msconfig
3.	Click Boot
4.	Deselect safe boot
5.	Press apply
6.	Once prompted, restart your computer

Do a quick scan every now and then, just in case

Note that none of this is 100% guaranteed to detect malware on your computer, but hey, it's better than nothing, right?
