- BRICKPLANET'S NEW CLIENT AND WORKSHOP DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Hey Planetarians
We're excited to share the development progress on our new client & workshop-
What's Working: We now have a functional prototype of the new client including: Joining the client with your character (clothing & hats load in) Multiplayer Chat system Game settings menu (change FPS, adjust graphic settings, report a player, and change camera sensitivity)
Our new workshop is also functional with: Basic part placement Ability to save your game to your PC or publish it on BrickPlanet (same with loading it in)
What's Next: Lua scripting for games Visual/UI improvements for both client and workshop More miscellaneous features that would be too long to list Testing phase for early access supporters, followed by a public beta test
I look forward to sharing more updates with you guys very soon! I'm currently fixing an issue with how lighting affects the player's hats, so I'll share some pictures with you all once that is fixed. Once the UI is improved for the workshop, I'll share pictures of that as well.
Also just to remind you guys once again, your games made with the current (old) client & workshop will be compatible with the new one
