Clarification Regarding Rare Ownership + Purchases

Hi all!
I wanted to provide some clarification on what is and is not allowed when it comes to purchasing rares on the Shop. There has been some confusion in what the official guidelines surrounding this process are.
When a rare is released and has stock: purchases are limited to one (1) rare per account, and we allow players to purchase up to one (1) additional rare on any alternate account. This means that any single player can own up to two (2) copies of the same rare across two accounts before it is sold out. Additional purchases (more than two [2] across two accounts) is considered a violation of this rule.
Additionally, we want to clarify that any attempt to bypass this rule will result in account suspensions, up to and including account closure.
We were recently made aware of a bug that key players were abusing, which bypassed the one rare per account limit and temporarily transferred the ownership of their existing rare to a holding state within group giveaways. Once giveaways expired (or no one entered), the rare was then transferred back to the player's account.
This bug has been resolved, and we've taken steps to ensure this type of abuse doesn't take place in the future.
We have removed the additional copies that were obtained fraudulently from the affected accounts and placed them back in-stock on the shop. Those accounts are in the process of being refunded for the purchases made for those rares.
We are committed to maintaining a fair playing field where all players have an equal opportunity to purchase rare items. Going forward, we'll monitor rare purchases a bit closer to make sure we're meeting that commitment.
