What are some strategies you used to improve your language learning?

have a conversation with people that speak that language natively

make sure that youre having at least 1 conversation in that language per day

the conversation should be 15+ minutes

it's ironic actually, i remembered like 2 sentences or more that i translated via google translate, but not ones i learned in school
